Vote for delete Movies or TV Show
it would be interesting to set up a voting system to delete a movie or a tv show in order to have room on the server when everyone has watched the movie or tv show in question.

Jamie Rees AdminHi, I think this is a good idea, but I'm not sure that many users would use this, this would require users to login to Ombi and vote once they have watched the media?
I would have thought that's quite a lot of effort required for the user to do that and i'm sure a lot of users wouldn't bother.
To get around this I could do something like integrate to Tautulli, or even grab the data from Plex itself, but that's quite a lot of work for this feature that i'm not sure fits into the overall concept -

RabidwoodlouseYes Tautulli would be the most interesting integration to put in place.
After that without necessarily having the users vote to know when the film or series has been viewed by everyone in order to be able to delete it and clean up on the server. -

JagzierPerhaps a compromise is adding thumbs up or down user rating on the play screen, and the highest -percentage of thrums down is prioritized for purging.

JagzierOr maybe a user rating, that enables you to also list top user rated content, as wee as prioritize for purging.

RabidwoodlouseAn automatic cleaning is not necessarily interesting to set up.
We would just have to put in place something that would let us know when the movies were seen by everyone. -

Koalait would be interesting to know which movie we can delete from the server to do a cleaning

ThorstenI'am currently create Excelfiles with all Movies on Plex, and everyone who uses it, kan raise a Veto. All Movies without Vetos will be deleted. I am currently deleting them by hand from Radarr/Sonarr

DavidI think something more useful would be to have a section for content that will be deleted soon (and maybe notifications for them). Users can veto a deletion saying they want it to stay.
As a stage 1, I think it should be manual, and we'd need to select a movie/show and enter an upcoming deletion date. As a stage 2, maybe integrate with Plex or Tautulli like you suggested, and have it curate a list of least watched movies/tv shows (with admin approval or something on the deletion). -

MpasBringing in a different perspective, as my viewers wouldn't be voting. They are requesting, watching and that's it.
So would love a system where Ombi gives the requestor a number of days to watch it. Users an option to 'extend'.
For example when a movie has been requested, after x days Ombi sends a signal to Radarr/Sonarr via API to delete the movie-entry and files. This way the library keeps itself a bit clean. And I do expect requestors to watch a request in lets say 30 days or so.
Further finetuning could be:
*) Enable/disable this autodeletion by user profile.
*) and maybe sending an email to he requestor 1 week prior deletion that the item will be deleted, unless user activivly re-activates his/her request.
*) a listing #days left prior deletion in user (requested) screen
*) There is already an 'auto delete available requests' option, but this is only removing the request. Not the movie. This could potentially be used? -

craig wilsonYeah i like this idea. Something that allows us to remove content for a clear out would be really helpful imo.
