The quality of the content available in the discovery page is pretty low overall, and contains a fair amount of NSFW/not safe for parents content. I'd like to give my parents access to Ombi so they can request media in a way I can easily manage, but the content on the discovery page makes it an uncomfortable proposition to say the least.

In lieu of a complex filtering/administration system for the discovery page, I'd like the option to disable the discovery page (or at least, the content suggestions on it) for all users - something relatively quick to develop & enough to let me share my server with others!

It would be nice if there was a report that would show you episodes you are missing. It should have some basic criteria like only work for shows that i have at least one full season of, or only shows that have at least X episodes for. This way the report wouldn't be cluttered if you intentionally only have a few episodes of a specific show. Eventually it would be good if there was a flag to include or exclude Season 0.

It would prob be difficult to have Plex automatically grab this information and limit what users can see as available in Ombi so since Ombi already knows what is in each library adding the ability to toggle which libraries each user could see on a per user basis would be really nice.

On the discover page, the Popular, Trending or Upcoming section, a user on a desktop device must use the arrows to display 4 items at the time + on a mobile device only 1 movie at the time.
This is really painful if a user is simply looking for upcoming movies > looking the details > going back to the discover page > spam the navigation arrow to continue his search.
Another suggestion proposed to remember the navigation position of those carousels, but this one has been rejected due to technical complexity.

Would it be possible instead to make the Popular, Trending and Upcoming section titles clickable so a user can display all, for example Upcoming movies/series, in a grid view like the search results?
Having a grid of 30/60 movies to scroll is less painful than spamming carousel arrows.
See attached a quick mockup of the idea by disabling the carousel and adding flex-wrap.

Of course, the page hierarchy has to be considered as the search url is actually /discover/SEARCH_STRING

It would be nice to be able to set filters similar to Petio where you can create filters to control requests.

For example I have multiple folders in Sonarr/Radarr based on Comedy, Anime, Cartoons, etc. When users send requests for a Cartoon with Ombi it gets mixed in with my TV shows and I have to manually move it to the Cartoon Library in Plex.

With filters based on Genre or Studio (Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, etc ) It will send the request to the proper path in Radarr/Sonarr and thus be put in proper library in Plex.

Allow saving of movies based on Movie Genre's (define default genre tags for each Root Folder)

Each Root Folder should have tag identifiers that sort the Requested (and completed) Movies into. Similar to the way User folder defaults are done, except use Tags instead of Users to determine which Root folder

eg
Video has 'Documentary' genre = Radarr Root Folder (with Documentary tag) saves to "d:\Videos\Documentaries" (from Radarr),
Video has 'Animation' genre = Radarr Root Folder (with 'Animation' tag) saves to "r:\Video\Animation\" (from Radarr)

TV shows already have locations set once the show is added to the middle-ware, however NEW shows can also source the Root Folders (from Sonarr/Sick*,etc.) in the same way as above.

Global level Tagging (on the Radarr Root Folder import page) or User level Tagging (on the User Page) can be done.

The Order in which the tags are defined should determine the priority for sorting and removed from other Root Folder tag options to void conflicts.

Currently, it's not possible to exclude movies/tv shows from foreign languages that have English titles on TMDb. These items do not seem to use a keyword that can be used for exclusion.

The example in the image I've attached shows what looks to be a Portuguese soap opera/telenovela (not tagged as such). Somehow I would like to be able to exclude this, and other foreign language titles, from my suggestions.

Perhaps a match on "Original Language" to the language in the user's profile. This wouldn't cause issues in terms of being able to search directly for the title and make a request that way, but would limit it from being displayed on the Discover page.

Similar to the "Default Root Folders (Anime)" but with other genres listed in the Ombi UI.

I imagine this could be implemented in a couple of different ways:

1) Add other options for major genres, like what has been done for Anime
2) Add the option for us to create our own "rulesets". E.g. If genre contains "Animation" then set root folder to /root/folder/Animation

At the moment, for any move/TV genre that isn't for my main "root folder", I have to go in to each request manually, and override the settings

Personally, I don't separate genres like "action", or "Adventure", etc. but have separate folders for Documentaries, Animation, Stand up Comedy, as an example

Similar to another request about discovery by streaming service, I see when viewing an individual show it says what TV network the show is available on, such as CBS, Bravo, MTV, Nick, etc. Would like to have this available via search or the Discover page, so that I could see a grouping of shows that are available on the same network, or popular shows on that network. A bonus would also be to have the Network as a link on the individual TV show's page so I could "browse" that network's page and see all the shows on that network. The Movie Database site has this feature, so I would hope it could be fairly easy to achieve. See https://www.themoviedb.org/network/16?language=en-US for an example for the CBS network.

Currently, to ask a user to start using the Ombi app on their phone, they have to do so many steps that many users don't want to be bothered.
The plex login prompt doesn't appear in the new IOS app so they can't use that to login initially. Although they have the ability to point their phone at a QR code, this requires them to log onto Ombi on another machine and do many steps to be able to complete this. Again, too much work for many users.

The simplest and fastest way to get my users using Ombi is to:
- email them from within Ombi v4 with the following instructions:
- 1. Download it from the <linked>Play Store or <linked>App Store
- 2. Copy this code: <blah>
- 3. Start up the Ombi app
- 4. Paste the code into the app to complete the registration.
The code would be received by the Ombi server, matched against the user, and allow completion of the app login details. The code is then invalidated to prevent re-use.

TMDB (and the integrated info pages inside of ombi) has info on studio and/or streaming platform, so it seems relatively feasible to tap into that in a similar fashion to the existing tag-based filtering.
